The basic rental: drop-off, load at your own pace, pickup. Ask which sizes are open.
Set on firm, level ground, with a clear path for the service truck.
Worth a call when the job came up suddenly. Not every address can get it.

Wide doors, level floors, grab bars and space to turn a wheelchair.
Sort out anything a landfill may refuse, then load the rest in one go.
Ask about flushing or upgraded models if the occasion calls for them.

Your health department may require them where food is being served.
Where the container sits matters as much as its size. In Avon, with its 19,324 residents, a driveway is the usual spot, and a roll-off truck commonly needs a long straight approach plus clearance overhead to set it down.
If a driveway will not do, street placement may need a permit from Avon. Ask how long that takes and who applies for it, so the paperwork is not still pending on drop-off day.
A short guide to working with HBI Roll Off in Avon, CT.
Containers and portable restrooms are often sold by separate companies. Start with a single call and ask about both.
Street placement often needs a town permit. Check early, since the local office has the final word on it.
Describe what is going in rather than guessing yards. Roofing, concrete and household clutter all load very differently.
The line takes calls 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. Delivery times are set by the local provider.
You deal with a hauler serving your area, where one covers your address. Their rates and rules are the ones that apply.
What people planning a rental in Avon, CT tend to ask.
Go by the job, not the house. A single bathroom or small cleanout in Avon often fits a 10 yard, a kitchen or several rooms of flooring a 15, and a mid-size reroof or full-floor remodel a 20. Going one size up usually costs less than a second haul.
Container size, rental length, what is going in it, how far the hauler drives and local landfill fees all play a part. Avon rates come from the provider who covers your address, so ask what weight is included and what an overage costs.
If food is being served, your Avon or county health department may require them, and they are a sensible addition for any big crowd. Placing a sink near the restrooms and another near food lines keeps people from having to walk far.
Sometimes. It depends on whether a provider serving Avon has a container open and a truck with room on its route. Your odds improve if you call early in the day and stay flexible on size. Nobody can promise it for every address.
On private property, usually not. On a street, sidewalk or other public right of way, many towns do require one, and the rules differ across CT. Check with the Avon public works or permit office before the drop-off date.
Rentals generally include a set tonnage, and anything above it is billed by the ton once the load crosses the scale. Roofing, dirt and masonry reach that limit quickly. Ask for the included weight and the per-ton rate for Avon before you start loading.
